Bucks’ Deer District to transform into ‘Fear District’

Deer District, the year-round destination that surrounds the Milwaukee Bucks’ new Fiserv Forum arena, will be transformed into the Fear District as part of a Halloween-themed activation.

The Fear District will be in operation for four days a week, starting from September 26 and running through to November 3.

As part of the activation, the district’s Beer Garden will feature haunted houses and scary movies such as Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream and Friday the 13th, while interactive games and “ghoulish” food and beverages will also be offered. Entry into Fear District will be free.

Fear District will be open on Thursdays from 6pm-10pm, Fridays from 6pm-11pm, Saturdays from 11am-11pm and Sundays from 2pm-8pm. The district will be family-friendly prior to 6pm on weekends before the experience becomes “frighteningly darker”.

Fear District will be comprised of three 3,600-square-foot attractions located on the plaza at Fiserv Forum: Vampire Village, where guests must escape the bite of a vampire while wandering through tombs; Dead Man’s Wharf, where participants will walk the plank with the Buccaneers of Fear; and Scare Acres, where attendees will be subjected to the “frights of the farm”.

An array of themed food and drinks will also be made available, while a Bucks Pro Shop trailer will be stationed on the plaza during operation hours.

“We are thrilled to bring the unique Halloween experience of Fear District to Milwaukee to deliver a one-of-a-kind Halloween season tradition,” Michael Belot, senior vice-president of Bucks ventures and development, said. “Fear District will entertain everybody, making Deer District a must-do destination for Halloween.”

Deer District is anchored by Fiserv Forum, the Bucks’ state-of-the-art new home which opened last year. Deer District is a year-round destination and features a range of dining and entertainment options.
