Spurs to offer NFL-themed stadium tours

Tottenham Hotspur has announced details of an NFL-themed edition of its guided stadium tour.

Tottenham said the 90-minute tour will be the first stand-alone NFL visitor attraction outside of the US. The tour will provide fans with a behind-the-scenes look at the stadium’s bespoke NFL facilities.

Details of the tour have been announced as the stadium prepares to host the Chicago Bears vs Oakland Raiders on October 6, before the Carolina Panthers take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a week later on October 13. The games will mark the first time American football has been played in a purpose-built NFL venue outside of the US.

The tour will allow guests to sample purpose-built team facilities such as locker rooms, player and staff preparation areas and the customised press conference suite, as well as authentic player equipment including jerseys, balls, pads and gloves.

Fans will then be given the chance to visit the dedicated NFL players’ tunnel and the stadium bowl, where, on selected dates, the specially-designed artificial surface will be in place. The pitch sits below the stadium’s retractable grass pitch and ensures two separate playing surfaces for football and NFL.

The tour will also include the NFL Commissioner’s Suite, where guests will be able to see the Vince Lombardi Trophy, awarded to the winners of the Super Bowl.

Tours will begin on October 7 and fans can pre-book tickets now. Tours are currently available on selected dates throughout October and early November with further dates to be announced in due course.
