GIO Stadium takes fans on Food Trail

Canberra’s GIO Stadium has sought to promote its array of food offerings available to fans by launching a Food Trail promotion.

The 25,000-capacity venue hosts Australian Super Rugby franchise the Brumbies and NRL rugby league team the Canberra Raiders. Fans attending games are being offered a food trail map from staff at the gates detailing the location of the different vendors around the stadium.

In other news, GIO Stadium has become the latest venue to embrace the concept of stadium golf. The stadium will be adapted into a ‘golf coliseum’ from December 4-15.

Fans will be able to tee off from nine outdoor platforms and hit onto the field of play. The 10th hole is designed as a long putt to test the short game. Tee times will be available across the day, with play also available under lights.
