Busch Stadium to host innovative golf course

Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals Major League Baseball team, will be transformed into a temporary golf course next month through an agreement with Stadiumlinks.

The nine-hole course will be open from November 1-3, with fans able to book tee times from October 10.

Tee times will be offered across the three days, starting early in the morning and ending in the evening, when the ballpark lights will illuminate the course. Tee times will be offered to two to eight-player increments and prices start at $74 (£60/€67) per person.

VIP packages will also be made available, offering a more premium experience with additional perks such as access to a private practice range and VIP lounge.

The Cardinals will also provide a set of standard, right-handed irons at each tee box. Golfers will be permitted to bring a maximum of four clubs into Busch Stadium but no drivers, golf bags or golf balls will be allowed.

Stadiumlinks founder Jon Stephens said: “This event gives the public the rare experience of hitting some of the most memorable golf shots imaginable from nine different locations throughout the ballpark.

“Targets for each tee box are positioned on greens that are landscaped into the field below, creating nine golf holes that you’ll have to see to believe. By combining this with exclusive and intimate access to the stadium, we’re excited to offer a uniquely amazing experience that can’t be duplicated anywhere else on the planet, for each and every participant.”

Vicki Bryant, vice-president of events and merchandising for the Cardinals, added: “We are thrilled to partner with Stadiumlinks to bring this unique event to Busch Stadium. We’re always looking for cutting-edge experiences to bring to our world-class venue, and this one certainly fits the bill.”
