PTI teams up with ITEC for managed services product

PTI Consulting has announced a managed services partnership with technology organisation ITEC Group.

The agreement sees PTI state its commitment to delivering industry expertise to the managed services area for its clients, as well as the wider sports and entertainment industry. PTI has been delivering managed services across several leading sports clubs in 2019, including Premier League football team Norwich City and Championship outfit Nottingham Forest.

Mike Bohndiek, managing director at PTI Consulting, said: “This new partnership will allow us to scale our managed services offering across the UK and ensure we can offer our clients the services and solutions they need with operational expertise. Be it a venues core network, WiFi enhancements or the more traditional licencing and helpdesk elements we’ll be bringing our usual vendor agnostic approach to the market to fast track improvements.

“One of the key barriers to clients achieving their digital transformation objectives has been the support of a managed service partner, whose Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm approach and professional service charges often limit the desired outcomes. It is here that we can assist by delivering a sports and entertainment specific offering that is built to the needs of the industry.

“When looking for an organisation to partner with it was imperative that they had proven experience delivering managed services within the sporting industry, especially given the unique nature of the operational delivery. ITEC Group has an exceptional pedigree in this area, and we are delighted to be working with them to deliver managed services across our client base.”

The managed services solution is an inclusive and flexible offering that will provide PTI clients with a fully wrapped, seven days a week service to reflect the nature of sports and entertainment businesses.

Under the solution’s seven-day delivery commitment, a stadium or venue can be open seven days a week, with activity occurring across evenings, weekends and bank holidays. The PTI offering is 7am – 7pm, seven days a week, as a starting point, going up to 24/7 as required.

Under the banner of stadium and venue technology expertise, the solution aims to address the challenge of a technology stack at a sports or entertainment venue being vastly different to a corporate environment, through the likes of access control, ticketing, hospitality and IPTV.

The solution also aims to deliver a proactive and pragmatic approach through first to third line engineering wrapped managed services to prevent hidden costs.

Nick Orme, CEO at ITEC, said: “PTI Consulting have been helping many top tier sports clubs and entertainment venues with strategic vision and planning across their technology requirements. ITEC has been helping our sporting clients, including Bristol Sport, Somerset County Cricket Club and Plymouth Argyle FC with a comprehensive level of managed services for many years.

“We view our new partnership as an exciting opportunity to work with the PTI experts who will be able to call upon our team and infrastructure to deliver an exceptional level of managed services to clubs and venues across the UK.”
