Ola parks up at Bankwest Stadium

Ola has struck a partnership with Western Sydney Wanderers FC that will give the ride-sharing company an exclusive drop-off and pick-up area outside the Australian A-League football club’s Bankwest Stadium.

Under the deal, Wanderers members and fans will also benefit from Ola discounts on rides and special promotions throughout the season, including an introductory offer of A$10 off the first two rides for new sign-ups to the platform.

Ola is also planning matchday activations, including ‘Beat the Ola’, which will give fans the chance to win a signed Wanderers jersey by chasing an LED Ola car on the pitch.

“We are excited to partner with the Wanderers and provide an effortless transport option so fans can conveniently and reliably get to and from the games to support their favourite team,” Ola’s managing director for Australia, Simon Smith, said.

“Western Sydney is the fastest growing economic region in Australia and the brand-new stadium in Parramatta, Bankwest stadium, is a great opportunity for us to partner with the Wanderers to enhance fans’ experience of getting to and from games using Ola.

“We have worked shoulder to shoulder with the Wanderers to provide the integrated matchday transport solutions of the Ola pickup zone at Parramatta RSL car park where fans can get their Ola.”

Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas said the pick-up and drop-off zone had been agreed in partnership with Parramatta RSL, a nearby hospitality venue, which will house the area on the ground floor of its Macquarie Street carpark.

Ola operates in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Gold Coast, Canberra and the Sunshine Coast, as well as Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch in New Zealand.
