MATCH to overhaul Silverstone’s hospitality provision

MATCH Hospitality has pledged to take the guest experience at Silverstone to “the next level” after being appointed as the official hospitality partner for the British motorsport circuit.

From the start of the 2020 motorsport calendar, MATCH will manage the official hospitality portfolio of the circuit in Northamptonshire, England across a range of events, including Formula 1, MotoGP and the British Superbike races.

Working in close collaboration, MATCH and Silverstone will provide corporate and individual customers access to a fresh variety of hospitality options catering for all budgets and race day experiences.

Silverstone annually hosts F1’s British Grand Prix, one of the most highly attended events in the British sporting calendar with a crowd of over 300,000 spectators across the weekend. For the 2020 edition, MATCH will be rejuvenating some of the track’s hospitality spaces, with the goal of reaching a new audience both within the UK and overseas.

This enhanced hospitality offering will complement the exclusive Formula 1 Paddock Club for which MATCH Hospitality is an official distributor.

Managing director of Silverstone Circuit, Stuart Pringle, said: “MATCH Hospitality is an industry leader, with an incredible track record of delivering the very best sports hospitality products. This will take the hospitality offering at Silverstone to a standard befitting of a world class motorsport venue.”

The Zurich-headquartered agency offers a range of products for other world-class sporting events including the ATP Finals, while the FIFA World Cup Official Hospitality Programme remains the company’s largest operation to-date.

Jaime Byrom, executive chairman of MATCH Hospitality, said: “MATCH Hospitality is excited to further develop our motorsport portfolio and we are very proud to be Silverstone Circuit’s official hospitality partner. We have some very ambitious plans – which will be announced over the coming months – to take the guest experience at Silverstone, ‘the home of British motorsport’, to the next level.”

Silverstone last month became the founding member of US sports and entertainment company Oak View Group’s (OVG) International Venue Alliance.
