LFP teams up with rideshare app StadiumGO

The French Football League (LFP) has signed a partnership with StadiumGO, a carpool platform dedicated entirely to sporting events.

Through the agreement, StadiumGO customers will be able to use the service to attend matches in Ligue 1, Ligue 2 and the Coupe de la Ligue.

Fans will be required to choose a match they wish to attend on the app and submit details of the trip, including times, date, place of departure and ticket prices. Other fans who want to attend the same match can then reserve a seat to travel in the same car.

Fans looking for a lift to a match will be able to view a list of available adverts for the fixture they wish to attend. If no adverts are appearing, the app includes the option for an alert to notify fans when a rideshare becomes available.

StadiumGO hopes to create an environment whereby fans can meet to discuss their club and enhance the overall match-day experience.

StadiumGO founder Romain Lauvergnat said: “It is important for us to offer new mobility solutions dedicated to fans, while strengthening the links between them through the experience of carpooling between fans.

“This agreement makes it possible to show that the world of sport is mobilised in the face of current environmental issues and we are very proud to be able to benefit from the support of the LFP.”
