AT&T Center upgrades fan experience with Clear link-up

Secure identity company Clear has partnered with AT&T Center to improve ease of access for fans of the San Antonio Spurs NBA basketball team.

Clear’s lane and enrolment pods will be situated near the main East Entrance of the arena and will allow fans to enter the venue with a tap of the finger.

The agreement will also cover select games played by the San Antonio Rampage ice hockey team, which also plays at AT&T Center. The option will also be available for concerts and special events held at the arena.

Fans interested in taking advantage of the initiative can enrol for free at AT&T Center in five minutes or fewer and begin using Clear immediately.

Through its partnership with Clear, AT&T Center will explore the company’s Biometric Concessions experience, which allows fans to buy food and drinks while simultaneously proving that they are of legal age for alcohol purchases.

Ed O’Brien, Clear’s head of sports, said: “Our goal is to provide fans with a more predictable and secure experience from gate-to-seat so they can enjoy more of what they came to see. The AT&T Center shares Clear’s commitment to making game day safer and easier, and we look forward to introducing additional innovative experiences for fans in the near future.”

Casey Heverling, vice-president and general manager of the AT&T Center, added: “An excellent fan experience is our top goal at the AT&T Center. Through this partnership with Clear, our fans who are Clear members will be able to enjoy a quick, secure arrival process for Spurs games, select Rampage games, concerts, and special events.”

Clear is already available in Terminals A and B at San Antonio International Airport.
