Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium has announced plans to host a themed obstacle course next year.
The ‘Marvel Spartan Stadion’ event will take place on February 15, with the obstacle course to be Marvel-themed and provide entrants with an exclusive finisher medal and t-shirt.
A number of adult races will be held, while a family-focused kids race is also being organised.
Spartan Race is a leading obstacle-course race organiser and runs events for first-time racers and elite athletes.
The Marvel Stadium event will feature races in the elite, age group, open and kids categories. The event will showcase the new Spartan Stadion format for the first time in Australia.
The Marvel Stadium kids race will run from 8am-4pm, with the course having been specifically designed to be suitable for children of all ages and fitness levels. The course will be between 1.5km and 2km and the races will be split into two categories: four to eight-year-olds and nine to 14-year-olds.
Spartan Race will host Stadion events in various stadia across the US next year, including Fenway Park, Citi Field, Citizens Bank Park and Nationals Park.
