Fuelster adds Dodgers as latest partner

The Los Angeles Dodgers Major League Baseball team has signed a multi-year partnership with on-demand fuel delivery company Fuelster.

The agreement names Fuelster as the exclusive on-demand mobile fuel delivery service of the Dodgers. Fuelster will deliver its service at Dodgers home games, starting from March 23.

As part of the deal, fans will be able to park up at Dodger Stadium and place an order on the Fuelster app, then leave their gas door open and have their car filled up while they are watching the game. Fuelster offers four types of unleaded fuel and diesel.

Customers are able to request a specific number of gallons or move the slider to ‘Fill my tank’ and a Fuelster technician will arrive at their vehicle to provide service. No membership fee is required and delivery will be free, with gas prices competitive to local stations.

In return, the company will benefit from in-stadium assets such as signage and digital media.

Anita Siraki, co-founder and chief operating officer of Fuelster, said: “Fuelster is committed to revolutionising the retail gas industry and we are honoured to partner with the Dodgers, an iconic brand synonymous with the city of Los Angeles.

“Fuelster is on the cutting edge of technology with LAFD-certified equipment and a dynamic scalable platform to service the marketplace’s strong desire for on-demand solutions. Our goal is for Dodger fans to never again have to stop for fuel on the way to and home from Dodger Stadium.”

Michael Wandell, senior vice-president of global partnerships for the Dodgers, added: “With a long history of groundbreaking innovation, we are constantly striving to leverage technology to improve the fan experience at Dodger Stadium. Our partnership with Fuelster furthers this mission by offering a convenient solution for the 4 million fans who visit Dodger Stadium each year.”

The Dodgers deal has been signed after Fuelster last month signed a strategic partnership to deliver a mobile fuelling service at Staples Center and the Los Angeles arena’s surrounding sports and entertainment district, L.A. Live.

As part of the agreement, brokered by AEG Global Partnerships, Fuelster becomes an official partner of L.A. Live and the exclusive on-demand fuel delivery service of NHL ice hockey team the LA Kings, which plays at Staples Center.

The partnership was the first of its kind for AEG, owner and operator of Staples Center and L.A. Live, and Fuelster’s first sports partnership providing service at a professional arena or sports complex.
