Naming rights extended to Fiji’s ANZ Stadium

The ANZ Fiji division of financial services company ANZ has renewed its sponsorship of the country’s ANZ Stadium until 2022.

The stadium, which is located in the Fijian capital of Suva, hosts rugby league, rugby union and football matches. It has a capacity of up to 15,000.

The deal extends ANZ’s backing of the venue to an eighth year. ANZ Stadium has staged Super Rugby matches, rugby union Test matches and NRL fixtures over the years, as well as the Oceania Athletics meet.

ANZ Fiji country head Saud Minam said: “Fijians are passionate about their sport and ANZ Stadium is the most iconic stadium in the region, with more than 150,000 people attending events here every year.

“Having access to quality sport and recreational facilities plays an important role in developing and sustaining communities. Our sponsorship is now in its eighth year, and is in line with ANZ’s continuing commitment to Fiji.”

Fiji Sports Council chief executive Litiana Loabuka added: “We are truly thankful for the commitment ANZ Bank has made to the Council in continuing to be a prime naming rights sponsor for the National Stadium.

“This sponsorship allows us to further contribute along many facets of sport development which directly assists with athlete development and offer our stakeholders the commercial viability to host ever increasing national and international events which has been thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who attends and witnessed across the globe through broadcast.”
