Not all disabilities are visible – CAFE Survey underway

To coincide with #WorldAutismAwarenessDay, our friends at CAFE (Centre for Access to Football in Europe) recently launched the CAFE Non-Visibly Disabled Fans Survey.

CAFE is a UEFA Football Social Responsibility partner and works to improve access and inclusion for disabled people at football stadiums across Europe.

It wants to hear from non-visibly disabled people and people with long-term health conditions, to learn more about the existing matchday services available to such fans and to identify any barriers they may face when visiting stadiums.

The results from the survey will be used to create guidelines for clubs, national associations and international footballing bodies on improving the matchday experience for disabled spectators.

Teams and venues are encouraged to circulate the survey (link here) to their supporters and partners.

The CAFE Non-Visibly Disabled Fans Survey Report will be published in autumn 2020.

To request any alternative formats or assistance in sharing the survey, or if you’d like to discuss the project or survey further, please contact CAFE Research Officer Isobel Robins via email isobel(@)cafefootball.eu or by calling +44 (0)208 065 5108.
