AC Milan seeks to ‘fill’ San Siro for derby clash

Italian Serie A football club AC Milan has launched an effort to virtually fill its 80,000-capacity San Siro stadium for its upcoming match against city rival Inter Milan.

The initiative, Derby Together, will allow fans to purchase personalised virtual tickets for the match and enter into a draw to win prizes and experiences.

Supporters can purchase tickets for €10 (£8.80/$12.10) and will receive a personalised commemorative ticket in digital format, a thank you card and a special edition AC Milan keyring.

The prize contest is open from February 11 to 22, with over 200 prizes up for grabs, including shirts worn by players during the derby on February 21, a flight to Dubai offered by Emirates, Puma gift cards, and a virtual meet and greet with AC Milan Glories. The final draw will take place on March 5.

The proceeds raised through the Derby Together initiative will be donated to Fondazione Milan for its ‘Assist’ project, which the club’s non-profit charity organisation is using to support those facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 health emergency and the economic crisis.
