The Honduras Football Federation is one of the latest international customers to reap the benefits of a Covermaster product for its sports pitch.
The National Autonomous Federation of Football of Honduras (FENAFUTH) is the official governing body for football in the Central American country. When it decided to purchase football pitch covers for its national team – winners of the Central American Cup in 2017 – the organisation contacted Covermaster to source the new equipment.
FENAFUTH required a product that would protect the pitch from heavy rain and keep the turf cooler and drier in the tropical climate. Raincover Ultra turned out to be the field cover of choice with four sections totalling about 88,000 square feet arriving in the country this month. It also purchased four Tarpmate Air rollers, inflatable rollers that allow the football tarps to be installed or removed in just minutes.
The dual-sided football field tarp has a silver side to minimise heat. Raincover Ultra is the industry’s strongest core raincover, allowing hundreds of pounds of water to be removed from its surface. It’s also the lightest, weighing over 200 pounds less than other available field tarps, and making it easier and less time-consuming to handle.
