Premiership Rugby has appointed Simon Massie-Taylor (pictured) as its new chief executive.

Massie-Taylor joins Premiership Rugby from England’s Rugby Football Union (RFU), where he served as chief commercial and marketing officer, holding responsibility for revenue-generating and marketing activities including broadcast, brand partnerships, fan engagement and digital and data transformation projects.

He previously served as commercial director at the British Olympic Association and commercial director at Tough Mudder in New York. Massie-Taylor’s start date at Premiership Rugby will be confirmed in due course.

Current director Richard Freudenstein has been elected chair and will serve for a short period until a permanent appointment is made.

The Cricket Australia board had previously announced that a deputy chair and anointed successor to the chair would be named after the 2021-22 season. This process will now be accelerated following Eddings’ resignation.

Event and brand logistics specialist Global Infusion Group has announced that Bonnie May has taken up the role of chief executive, with Richard Duff joining the company as managing director.

May previously served as GIG’s global operations director. She will continue to lead the company’s day-to-day operations and will now shape the group’s strategy and vision as chief executive.

Tim Glenane has joined Festicket as its regional operations manager in the Asia-Pacific region in a push to bolster the company’s presence in Australia.

Glenane previously worked with Eventbrite and Ticketek before joining Festicket as a senior account manager last year. He will work alongside Sam Owens, who is the regional head of the events experience platform.
