Doncaster Rovers announces new stadium naming rights partner

English League One club Doncaster Rovers has announced a new stadium sponsor, with its home ground to be called the Eco-Power Stadium from December 27 onwards.

Eco-Power Group is a Doncaster-based company which includes Eco-Power Environmental and Eco-Power Construction. Together with sister company Eco-Power Skips, Eco-Power Environmental offers a range of waste and recycling services to divert waste from landfill. Valuable resources such as plastic, metal, wood, paper and cardboard are recovered and recycled into new products.

The new partnership will also support Doncaster’s ambition of being more environmentally friendly, with the goal of becoming a carbon-neutral venue.

Club Doncaster chief commercial officer Jon Warburton said: “This is a major new partnership that represents the growth in usage of the stadium since the birth of Club Doncaster.

“With UEFA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers, Rugby League World Cup matches and concerts such  as The Killers and Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott, Doncaster is becoming a venue for international sporting and music events.

“Eco-Power will not only become the title partner of the stadium but will also be working closely with Club Doncaster on our sustainability strategy, as we aim to make some significant strides forward to becoming a carbon-neutral venue over the next four years.”

Louis Calders, group commercial director of the Eco-Power group, added: “As a local business Eco-Power Group is delighted to be partnering with Doncaster Rovers and Club Doncaster. In addition to the stadium naming rights we will also be working closely with the club to develop their sustainability strategy and support them on their journey to net-zero.”

Previous stadium sponsor Keepmoat Homes will continue its partnership and support Club Doncaster in other ways.
