Twitter to light up SoFi Stadium with Super Bowl predictions

The sports division of social media company Twitter has stepped up its marketing campaign surrounding the forthcoming Super Bowl LVI by announcing it will display fans’ game predictions on the roof of SoFi Stadium.

The home of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers is set to host this year’s Super Bowl on February 13, with the former team set to take on the Cincinnati Bengals.

Twitter Sports has called on fans to tweet their “wildest” game prediction in six words or less, with the best submissions set to feature on SoFi Stadium’s LED roof.

The venture continues Twitter’s innovative marketing campaigns around the Super Bowl. For the past two editions, it has printed fans’ tweets onto the confetti that is traditionally released at the end of the game. Last year’s effort included messages of thanks for key workers in the fight against COVID-19.

Fans attending Super Bowl LVI were last week told they will be issued with KN95 face masks, while free COVID-19 rapid tests and vaccinations will be offered at the Super Bowl Experience attraction as part of health and safety measures spelled out by Los Angeles County.

Earlier in January, the NFL reiterated that it is planning on staging this year’s Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium as scheduled amid suggestions the game may be moved due to an increase in COVID-19 cases in Los Angeles.
