Monster Jam resumes international events with London Stadium visit

US motorsport event tour Monster Jam will return to international competition for the first time since 2020 at London Stadium after announcing its maiden event in the English capital.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Monster Jam will head to London Stadium on June 18. Along with the main event, London Stadium will host a Monster Jam ‘Pit Party’. Fans will be able to see the trucks up close, get an inside look into how they’re built, meet their favourite drivers, take pictures and get autographs, with other experiences provided.

Magnus Danielsson, vice-president of international motorsports for Feld Entertainment, owner of Monster Jam, told TheStadiumBusiness.com: “Monster Jam have very successfully been going to the UK, and visited multiple cities, stadiums and arenas, since 2005, including the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, and the Utilita and AO arenas for Manchester and Birmingham.

“On June 18, for the first time ever, Monster Jam is coming to the iconic London Stadium, to perform our biggest event so far in the UK. Based on the interest and attention, we’re expecting fans from all over the UK to come and experience Monster Jam at the London Stadium.

“The London announcement marks the start of Monster Jam returning to international competition. There will be multiple announcements over the coming weeks and months on new Monster Jam events around the planet.

“The interest for the Monster Jam franchise is higher than ever and it’s expanding every day. Content is king and Monster Jam is one of the biggest and most sought after live family events out there.”

Graham Gilmore, CEO of London Stadium, added in a statement: “We pride ourselves on bringing new and exciting events to the Stadium, and Monster Jam is certainly that. An incredible high-octane experience for all the family, we cannot wait to host this unique show for a new audience in the UK, as part of our fantastic summer schedule.”

Build-to-rent operator Get Living last month agreed a deal to become the first official lifestyle sponsor of London Stadium, home of Premier League football club West Ham United.
