Caesars to open sportsbook lounge at Citi Field

Caesars Entertainment has entered into a multi-year partnership with Major League Baseball’s New York Mets, through which a new sportsbook lounge will open at Citi Field.

The deal names Caesars Sportsbook as an official sports betting partner of the Mets and includes a variety of VIP experiences and hospitality assets for members of the Caesars Rewards loyalty programme.

The new Caesars Sportsbook at the Metro Grille will open during the 2022 MLB season and will span 13,000 square feet. The sportsbook lounge will feature a multi-tiered dining room and outdoor patio seating, providing panoramic views overlooking left field.

The agreement will also provide Caesars with access to official Mets logos and marks, TV-visible in-game signage, and broadcast and digital content across team properties.

Chris Holdren, co-president of Caesars Digital, said: “New York is a key state for us following the successful launch of our Caesars Sportsbook app in January. The Mets’ fan base is one of the most loyal in baseball and this partnership offers us the chance to treat those passionate fans like Caesars. We look forward to opening our space at Citi Field during an exciting time for the franchise.”

Caesars Sportsbook is an authorised gaming operator of MLB and the company has recently partnered with the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers and the NFL’s Buffalo Bills.

In May last year, William Hill, which is part of Caesars Entertainment, opened the first sports betting venue at a US professional sports facility with the launch of a sportsbook at Capital One Arena, home of the NBA’s Washington Wizards and NHL’s Washington Capitals.

Caesars Entertainment also holds naming rights to the home stadium of the NFL’s New Orleans Saints, while Caesars Sportsbook has a separate partnership with the Indianapolis Colts.
