Cheltenham Town signs new stadium sponsor

English League One football club Cheltenham Town has agreed a deal for Completely-Suzuki to become its new stadium sponsor.

The agreement officially rebrands Whaddon Road as the Completely-Suzuki Stadium for at least the next two seasons. Completely-Suzuki is part of the Completely Motoring empire, which has locations around the country.

Rob Ayland, managing director at Completely Motoring, is a Cheltenham supporter and over the years the company has sponsored The Colin Farmer Stand as well as club events. Completely Motoring has also supplied vehicles for playing and management staff at the club.

Ayland said: “As my business has grown across the UK, we become more and more proud of the area in which we started.

“To have sponsored Cheltenham for 25 years, and now having one of my businesses as the stadium sponsor is an incredibly proud moment. It’s a landmark for Cheltenham Town attracting support from a global brand. Suzuki GB have understood the loyalty and affection in which we hold the football club and supported the stadium sponsorship.”

Richard Morris, head of commercial at Cheltenham, added: “The support of our commercial partners is absolutely vital in helping us to achieve our aims and ambitions on and off the pitch and we’re delighted to announce this significant new partnership with Completely-Suzuki.

“Rob’s enthusiasm and passion for the club are evident and being able to align the club with a local business and a global brand makes this a ‘first-of-its-kind’ partnership for the club. We’re grateful for the support Completely-Suzuki have given us and look forward to a long and successful relationship between our two organisations.”

Completely-Suzuki replaces Jonny-Rocks as Cheltenham’s stadium sponsor. Jonny-Rocks, a luxury VIP chauffeur and executive car service company, had sponsored the venue since the start of the 2018-19 season.

Cheltenham finished the 2021-22 in 15th place in League One.
