Booking.com offers ‘penthouse’ experience for Women’s Euro final

Digital travel company Booking.com is offering fans the chance to stay overnight at Wembley Stadium ahead of the final of the UEFA Women’s Euro on July 31.

The Pitch View Penthouse experience will be bookable as a one-night-only sleepover for two guests. The penthouse will be football-themed and the experience will also include two tickets for the Women’s Euro final.

Booking.com is the official accommodation booking partner of the tournament, which takes place from July 6-31 in nine cities across England. Booking.com has released computer-generated 3D images of how the Pitch View Penthouse will look.

The Penthouse can be viewed online and will become bookable, at a reservation fee of £20.22 (€23.47/$24.82), at 10am on July 6, the same day England kicks off the tournament against Austria.

The Penthouse will feature cheering crowds and a pitch-themed bedroom and living area. The room will also have its own private balcony to provide guests with a prime viewing spot to watch the final.

The experience will begin with a chauffeured drive to Wembley, where they will be treated to a tour of the stadium. Booking.com ambassador and former England player Karen Carney will also welcome guests to the Penthouse, which will provide VIP hospitality. The experience also includes a pitch-side breakfast the morning after the final.

Arjan Dijk, senior vice-president and chief marketing officer at Booking.com, said: “We’re so excited to be listing this incredible ultimate football stay experience for the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 final.

“Creating these memorable moments and first-time experiences is so important to us at Booking.com. The Pitch View Penthouse at Wembley will be the perfect place for guests to enjoy a special night at what is set to be a fantastic football tournament.

“We believe travel enriches people’s lives, especially live sport events which inspire more people to experience the world around them, and I’m sure UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 will provide many unforgettable moments for football fans in Europe and around the world.”

Booking.com launched a similar ‘Stadium Suite’ experience during the men’s UEFA Euro 2020 last summer.

Fans were given the chance to stay overnight at Wembley during the semi-finals and final of the tournament in a suite containing a double bed, football-themed soft furnishings and a private balcony.
