Lancashire Cricket teams up with Inspiresport

Lancashire Cricket has named Inspiresport as the official development tour partner of the club and Emirates Old Trafford.

As part of the agreement, Emirates Old Trafford will become the hub for Inspiresport cricket tours in the UK with access to behind-the-scenes experiences such as stadium tours, Lancashire’s indoor cricket centre facilities, expert coaching and the on-site Hilton Garden Inn hotel.

Inspiresport formed in 2004 and provides sports development tours for schools and clubs. Its tailored tours in the UK and Europe offer professional coaching at leading clubs and federations.

The agreement with Lancashire Cricket also involves the club’s women’s and academy teams, as well as the Lancashire Cricket Foundation.

Inspiresport is part of Destination Sport, which boasts five sports travel companies in its group, including Sportsbreaks.com. Sportsbreaks.com holds naming rights to an exclusive terrace at Emirates Old Trafford.

Daniel Gidney, chief executive at Lancashire Cricket, said: “We are delighted to continue our growing relationship with Destination Sport by adding Inspiresport to our family of partners. Inspiresport offers fantastic experiences to young people, and we look forward to hosting a tour here at Emirates Old Trafford in the future.”

Steve Butchart, managing director at Inspiresport, added: “We’re excited to share details of our new partnership with Lancashire Cricket. As our cricket proposition grows both domestically and internationally, partnering with Lancashire Cricket seemed an obvious choice as an iconic badge within world cricket.

“With fantastic training opportunities alongside the club’s coaches and great facilities to match, we’re looking forward to bringing our groups into Manchester to experience everything Lancashire Cricket, and the city, has to offer.”
