Barrow lands SO Legal as stadium sponsor

English League Two football club Barrow has agreed a deal for law firm SO Legal to sponsor its Holker Street stadium.

As part of the deal, the length of which was not disclosed, the ground will officially be known as the SO Legal Stadium.

SO Legal provides specialist legal services and has offices in London, Brighton, Eastbourne, Hastings and Uckfield.

Next month, the company will open its first office in the North West with an Ulverston branch that will serve clients across the Furness Peninsula, the Lake District and the surrounding area.

Barrow finished 22nd in League Two last season, narrowly avoiding relegation to the National League. The newly-named SO Legal Stadium has a capacity of around 5,000.

Hamed Ovaisi, co-founder and managing director at SO Legal, said: “Our new Ulverston office launches next month, and we are excited about building a long-term partnership with the club, the supporters and the local community.

“I watched Barrow a few times last season, having invested in the local area, and I absolutely loved the atmosphere and fans. When we discovered the opportunity to become the main stadium sponsor was available, we just had to be a part of it. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to the SO Legal Stadium during the new season.”

Barrow chairman Paul Hornby added: “The partnership is an extremely exciting one where we can mutually benefit each other and the supporters with collaborations and offers which we’ll be revealing shortly.

“SO Legal are looking forward to getting to know the Barrow community and I genuinely believe we’ve found a long-term partner who can add significant value to our town and club.

“As such, this is so much more than just a sponsorship deal for the club. The owners of SO Legal are football people and have a genuine knowledge of the game and passion for sport.”
