Harrogate extends with stadium sponsor EnviroVent

Harrogate Town has extended its agreement with ventilation equipment manufacturer EnviroVent, which holds naming rights to the League Two club’s home stadium.

The new two-year deal will see Harrogate’s home ground continue to be known as the EnviroVent Stadium until the end of the 2023-24 season.

Harrogate-based EnviroVent has sponsored its local club for the last nine seasons and took on naming rights to the stadium ahead of the 2020-21 season. The venue was previously known as CNG Stadium.

The extended agreement will also see the EnviroVent team work with the club’s community foundation to help deliver the Environment programme, working within the community and schools to educate and inspire social action for climate change.

Andy Makin, managing director at EnviroVent, said: “As a local business with shared ideals, EnviroVent is delighted to announce a further two-year commitment in our partnership with Harrogate Town AFC.

“We were excited to become stadium sponsors when the club was promoted (to the EFL) and now, two years on, we are very happy at the prospect of building further on our relationship. This will allow closer links with the club on the pitch and its great work, off the pitch, in our local community.”

EnviroVent is relocating to a new zero-carbon headquarters, which will bring its training suite, manufacturing, distribution and head office under one roof.

Harrogate finished the 2021-22 League Two season in 19th place. The club was promoted to the English Football League for the first time in 2020 and was forced to play matches at Doncaster Rovers’ Keepmoat Stadium while a new pitch was installed at EnviroVent Stadium.

In May, Harrogate announced plans to invest £3.5m (€4.1m/$4.2m) to improve its infrastructure, with work to include a new seated stand at EnviroVent Stadium.

The investment is already underway and will be phased over the next calendar year. The new stand will feature an increased capacity and the plans also include a new bar in the home supporters area, as well as an extension of the stadium’s corporate hospitality area.
