Hospitality company Levy has agreed a partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise the Baltimore Orioles for its Oriole Park at Camden Yards stadium.

Serving as hospitality partner, Levy will seek to craft an elevated food and beverage (F&B) experience for fans visiting Oriole Park. The partnership will kick off with the 2023 season, when Levy’s team will welcome fans with new signature offerings which aim to highlight the iconic tastes of Baltimore and the Chesapeake Bay.

Core to the partnership with Levy will be creating opportunities for up-and-coming chefs, restaurateurs, and F&B tastemakers in the Baltimore area. Hospitality enrichment and training programs will also be created to provide career advancement opportunities at the ballpark.

The two parties said fans can also expect a F&B experience with local twists, as well as frictionless experiences that provide faster, more convenient ways to access products.

“We’re so proud to partner with the Orioles at the truly iconic Camden Yards and build upon their vision for the ballpark,” said Andy Lansing, CEO of Levy, whose UK & Ireland arm this week signed a deal with Championship football club Swansea City.

“Camden Yards is a truly special place, and it sparked the evolutionary thinking that brought the fan experience to the forefront. With this inspiration, we look forward to collaborating with the Orioles and their fans to bring forward a hospitality experience that creates long-lasting memories on game day and throughout the Baltimore community.”

Camden Yards Sports Complex is poised for a major overhaul after the Orioles announced a $1.2bn (£972.2m/€1.11bn) commitment from Maryland authorities.

In an open letter to the team’s fans, Orioles chairman and CEO, John Angelos, in April disclosed the state legislature had approved public funding for “reinvestment in and reimagination of” the Complex, which features Oriole Park and NFL franchise the Baltimore Ravens’ M&T Bank Stadium.

Commenting on the Levy deal, Angelos said: “Oriole Park has been a first-class destination for sports and music entertainment fans for over three decades, and as we look to the future to enhance the footprint and impact of Camden Yards, we are excited to welcome Levy onboard.

“Together with Levy, we will provide world-class hospitality, food, and beverage experiences, to further develop Camden Yards as a top destination for sports, entertainment, and community service.”

Further details on the F&B experience at Oriole Park will be announced prior to the start of the 2023 season.
