People on the move: CAA Icon, EPCR and more

The CAA Icon agency has promoted Stephanie Bax and Melissa Heiter to roles at the executive vice-president level.

Bax has been at CAA Icon since October 2014 and her new title extends to managing director of European operations. Heiter has been with the agency since its launch and her responsibilities include guidance of company business across all areas of business and oversight of marketing and communications.

Bax helped establish CAA Icon’s first overseas office in the UK in March 2020 and has previously worked on projects such as Co-op Live in Manchester, Stadio della Roma and Moody Center in Austin. Heiter has worked with venues such as The O2, Wrigley Field, Rogers Place and Intuit Dome, the new home of the Los Angeles Clippers that is set to open in 2024.

Jacques Raynaud has been appointed chief executive of European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR), organiser of the Champions Cup and Challenge Cup rugby union tournaments.

Raynaud (pictured) has previously held executive vice-president roles for Sky Italia and Sky Deutschland, and also worked as managing director for Sky Media and vice-chairman of the Eurosport Group.

Raynaud currently serves as chief executive of sports technology start-up MyTVchain. He will join EPCR at the end of the season, working closely with interim chief executive Anthony Lepage, who will be moving to the position of chief operating officer.

André Béchir is set to operate a new company as part of the Eventim Live group, in collaboration with promoter TAKK. He was acting as a senior advisor to CTS Eventim-backed Gadget abc Entertainment Group AG under a three-year contract, which ended last year.

He will continue to work with Gadget abc on shows such as Bruce Springsteen, Herbert Grцnemeyer and Eros Ramazzotti. Béchir will also continue to stay part of the Eventim Live promoter network and collaborate with TAKK. 

TMRW Sports, the company founded by Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and sports executive Mike McCarley which is launching a new tech-focused golf league featuring events at custom-built venues, has announced four senior hires.

TMRW Sports has named Robin Eletto as chief people officer, Ross Berlin as senior vice-president of player relations, Wendell Haskins as strategic advisor of social impact and community relations, and Ken Aagaard as vice-president of broadcast technology.

Eletto joins from Fanatics, where she served as chief people officer, while Berlin previously served as the PGA Tour’s senior vice-president of player relations. Haskins is the founder and chief executive of The Original Tee Golf Company, while Aagaard has consulted on major sports and entertainment events through his company Creative Business Techniques.
