Israeli and Irish network solutions companies TDCOMM and Druid Software have partnered with Israeli stadium technology firm Stadicom to bring what they claim will be Israel’s first, and most advanced, 5G stadium experience to consumers and the developer community.

The new 5G stadium experience is designed to showcase high bandwidth applications with ultra-low latency. The envisioned applications will include smartphone apps, high-speed cameras, XR and AR, smart devices, and sensors.

TDCOMM’s 5G stadium solution will focus on performance, ease of service, and efficient management for multiple host customers. It is expected to launch in Israel later this year, with plans to expand to other stadiums and venues in Europe in the near future.

Amir Lugasi, chief revenue officer of TDCOMM, said: “This collaboration with Druid Software enables us to showcase the power of 5G and how it can enhance the fan experience at the stadium.”

Liam Kenny, CEO of Druid Software, added: “The new 5G stadium solution is expected to transform the way fans experience live sports events.

“With ultra-low latency and high-speed connectivity, fans can experience live sports in a whole new way, from real-time replays and live stats to immersive augmented and virtual reality experiences.

“Our private 5G network solutions enable enterprises to leverage the full power of 5G and we are excited to partner with TDCOMM to bring this new 5G stadium experience to Israel and showcase the true potential of 5G.”
