The Florida Panthers NHL team has announced a range of upgrades at Amerant Bank Arena to coincide with the franchise’s 30th anniversary season.

The upgrades have been announced in collaboration with Amerant Bank, which last week became the new naming-rights sponsor of the 19,250-seat arena in a five-year deal. The venue had previously been known as FLA Live Arena.

Enhancements include new HVAC units to achieve “atmospheric requirements” and clean internal air quality for sellout games, a new sound system courtesy of JBL, new LED sports lighting in partnership with Signify, and two new state-of-the-art Zambonis with FastICE System technology.

The Panthers will also debut the Fanboni Experience for supporters to enjoy during games. The experience will give fans the chance to sample an old Zamboni that has been retrofitted with marine-grade custom captain’s chairs, a sound system, all-electric power and a Panthers façade.

Other additions include a sensory room that will feature a permanent sensory-friendly quiet lounge for families. Fans will also be able to high-five Panthers players as they take to the ice in ‘The Stable’, a new exclusive space that is available for groups of 10 to 15 people.

The Panthers will also launch the SeatGeek Sunset Terrace private hospitality space, which is located on the Sky Level of the arena. The arena will also feature ORCA Green Machine clean food waste technology, infinitely recyclable Ball aluminium cups, smart vending machines, and HD LED walls.

Additionally, the Panthers have partnered with CHEQ, Purple, SeatGeek, Shift4 and YinzCam to launch the team’s new interactive arena mobile app.

Rob Stevenson, the Panthers’ executive vice-president of people and facilities, said: “Our organisational pillars – curating a world-class experience for our fans, investing in our people and players, and serving the community – were the driving force behind these capital improvements.

“From new guest amenities to sustainable technology, we couldn’t be more excited to deliver these arena-wide enhancements or more appreciative of our team’s hard work in bringing them to life.”
