ASM Global has appointed entertainment industry specialist Matthew Lazarus-Hall as executive vice-president of entertainment and content.
Lazarus-Hall (pictured) has over 25 years of experience in the live entertainment industry and is the founder and chief executive of Square Creative Solutions, an Australian-based company focused on providing consultancy in event strategy across touring, festivals, exhibitions and sport.
He was the senior vice-president, Asia for AEG, overseeing all concerts, festivals and sporting events across the Asia-Pacific region. He was also chief executive of Chugg Entertainment, an Australian entertainment touring company, for 13 years.
In his new role, Lazarus-Hall will be working with ASM Global’s growing portfolio of venues in Australia, Asia and the Middle East and North Africa region. His initial focus will be the ASM Global-managed Kai Tak Sports Park complex in Hong Kong, which will open in mid-2025.
Private investment firm Arctos has appointed Brian Lafemina, who most recently served as chief business officer for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games organising committee, as an operating partner.
Lafemina will leverage his experience to advise on and assist in sourcing opportunities, enhance Arctos’ value-add capabilities, and act as an advisor to the firm’s portfolio franchises through Arctos Operating Platform.
Lafemina spent 20 years at The Madison Square Garden company and was a key member of the team responsible for planning the renovation of Manhattan’s Madison Square Garden arena. He also served as president of the NFL’s Washington Commanders and previously led the NFL’s Club Business Development department.
Arctos Partners recently acquired a minority stake in French Ligue 1 football club Paris Saint-Germain.
Ali McCloud has taken on the role of vice-president of business development at ticketing company AXS.
McCloud has made the move from Dice, where she was vice-president, live music partnerships (North America) and vice-president of partner relations. She has also previously held roles with Tixr and Eventbrite.
