Intuit Dome, the new home of the NBA’s LA Clippers opening later this month, has been fitted with PixMob’s NOVA Armrest LED technology.
Every seat at the arena will feature the technology, which will seek to transform the venue into a “vibrant canvas of live effects”. The technology synchronises with music, game highlights and on-court action.
The seats will also include USB charging ports for mobile devices and an NFC reader that connects fans to event content, landing pages and apps. The armrest is also fitted with four-button game controllers, enabling interaction with in-game entertainment, trivia and contests.
Spanish LaLiga football club Real Madrid has announced a strategic agreement with telecommunications company Orange.
The three-year deal names Orange as Real Madrid’s official telecommunications partner. The agreement covers the club’s men’s and women’s teams.
The deal includes image and hospitality rights and a prominent presence at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, including on the stadium’s new 360-degree LED halo board. Orange and Real Madrid will also work together on marketing and advertising activities.
Additionally, Orange will develop projects to optimise the experience of its customers during events taking place at the Bernabéu.
The NFL American football league has announced Sony as an official technology partner.
Sony will also serve as the new official headphones partner of the NFL. The deal will include an expansion of Sony’s sports technology through Hawk-Eye Innovations to support officiating and the development of on-field and sideline technologies.
The agreement will also include a new coach’s sideline headset, which will debut during the 2025 season. The NFL and Sony will work closely to develop this headset to support coach-to-coach communication on the field.
