Kai Tak Sports Park has revealed details of the first large-scale outdoor LED light show presented on the exterior walls of its Main Stadium.
Displays will run for two consecutive weekends, starting tomorrow (Saturday), to honour Hong Kong athletes at the ongoing 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
The Olympics themed lighting display will begin with international-themed patterns, followed by cheering messages for the Hong Kong athletes, including the likes of ‘全城上下撐港隊’ and ‘Go! Team HKG’. See more here.
Images of Olympic events such as swimming, athletics, badminton, cycling, fencing, gymnastics, judo, rowing, sailing, windsurfing, table tennis, taekwondo, and triathlon, will also be displayed along with the names of the Team Hong Kong, China athletes competing in the French capital.
As the future home venue for Team Hong Kong, Kai Tak Sports Park will provide training and competition facilities for athletes after its opening in 2025.
In June, it was revealed that Kai Tak Youth Sports Ground, which will form part of the wide-ranging Sports Park complex being built in Hong Kong, is nearing completion following the installation of a ‘lay and play’ turf system.
