Coventry Building Society Arena has partnered with Spanish beer brand Mahou to create a new premium dining lounge.
Named The Mahou Experience, it will serve a combination of tapas, Spanish wines and beers.
The lounge is aimed at delivering “the ultimate matchday experience” for fans of Coventry City Football Club, which plays its home games at the 32,753-seat stadium.
The bar and dining area will also be open for major events and concerts at the venue as well as corporate hire.
“We’re always looking at game-changing ways to enhance our offering to Coventry City supporters and this seemed like a really nice way of doing that,” said Coventry Building Society Arena managing director Paul Michael.
“The Mahou Experience will take the Arena’s matchday provision to another level and is sure to be a huge win among Sky Blues fans; particularly during the winter months when a sun-kissed splash of Spanish culture will really hit the spot.”
The Budweiser Brewing Group is helping to deliver The Mahou Experience.
Visitors to the stadium for the recent friendly match between Coventry and Everton got a first look at the new area.
“We are excited to bring The Mahou Experience to life,” said on trade IFT director at Budweiser Brewing Group Peter Harrison.
“This premium dining lounge offers fans an unparalleled matchday experience, combining the rich flavours of Spanish tapas with the authentic Beer of Spain, Mahou.
“As the UK distributor of Mahou, Budweiser Brewing Group is proud to be part of this innovative venture that elevates the hospitality offerings at the arena.
“We look forward to fans enjoying this unique blend of Spanish culinary excellence and football excitement, whilst enjoying the Five Star Taste of Madrid, Mahou.”
