Liverpool FC’s stadium Anfield has received a connectivity upgrade prior to the beginning of the new season with Extreme Networks installing the new Wi-Fi 6 network.
The upgrade is aimed at improving the in-stadium fan experience and allowing supporters to better take advantage of the club’s digital offerings including mobile ticketing, the official app, and membership rewards.
In addition, the club is also integrating an analytics software from Extreme Networks to track fan data such as foot traffic and app usage across the stadium.
New York City FC has made Unilumin Sports its official LED display technology partner.
As part of the partnership, Unilumin will provide LED display solutions for the MLS side’s home matches.

“We are excited to see the impact of these new displays in creating an exceptional atmosphere for our supporters.”
RCD Mallorca has implemented NFC technology for season tickets at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix during the 2024-25 season.
The first match in which the technology will be available will be against Bologna for the Trofeu Ciutat de Palma on August 10.
In recent years, the club has had digital season tickets using a QR code but from now on they can also be used wirelessly.
Japanese telecommunications company KDDI has installed Massive MIMO Unit radio equipment in the Hanshin Koshien Stadium in Nishinomiya.
As a result, the connectivity speeds in the 47,400-seat stadium are said to have increased by 1.6 times compared to the previous 5G offering.
