English League One football club Bolton Wanderers has entered into a partnership with the Radisson Group following the complete refurbishment of the on-site hotel at its Toughsheet Community Stadium.
Bolton Stadium Hotel becomes the first Radisson Individuals property to be situated within a sports stadium. Having first opened back in October 2000, with the stadium having been completed in 1997, the new-look Bolton Stadium Hotel now boasts 125 rooms ranging from a standard double to suites overlooking the Toughsheet Community Stadium pitch.
The refurbishment has covered a third of the rooms, as well as upgrades made to the bar and lounge area. The hotel also offers three modern meeting rooms.
Linking in with the club, Bolton Stadium Hotel offers an exclusive ‘Back of the Net’ matchday package, inclusive of an overnight stay with breakfast and two match tickets.
Neil Hart, CEO at Bolton Wanderers, said: “With over 1,300 hotels across 95 countries, Radisson are a global and reputable brand and that can only benefit the Hotel moving forward across a number of areas – as we strive to build on the success of the last few years.
“On top of this, the recent refurbishment is another step we’ve taken to continue to upscale and enhance our offering inside the Hotel.”
Liz Keay, general manager of Bolton Stadium Hotel, added: “With the recent refurbishment and the Hotel joining the Radisson Individuals partnership, this is an exciting period for the Bolton Stadium Hotel.
“We are the first in their portfolio to be situated within a sports setting and we are looking forward to seeing what working with Radisson can do to help take us to the next level.
“The Hotel continues to grow from strength-to-strength, whether that be through the ever-rising number of bookings into the hotel to our increasingly popular food and drink areas on Wanderers’ matchdays – making us one of the best ways to take in the pre-match atmosphere.”
Edgbaston Stadium, home of Warwickshire County Cricket Club, last month announced Radisson as its partner for an on-site hotel as more details and renderings were released of the development.
The proposed Radisson RED Birmingham Edgbaston Stadium will form part of the company’s RED four-star lifestyle brand. The hotel will feature 146 rooms, including 85 with balconies facing the Edgbaston pitch.
