All Elite Wrestling will visit Australia for the first time next year after announcing an event at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium.
AEW Grand Slam: Australia will take place on February 15. It will also mark the first professional wrestling event ever held at Suncorp Stadium.
The event will be promoted by TEG, with tickets to go on sale on September 13.
TEG Group chief executive Geoff Jones said: “TEG is proud to be partnering with the juggernaut that is AEW on this milestone announcement. This will mark the first time that the professional wrestling organisation will be making its way to the southern hemisphere. This event promises to be an absolute showstopper for all ages and an entertaining spectacle for the masses at Suncorp Stadium.”
AEW chief executive Tony Khan added: “We are proud to bring All Elite Wrestling’s biggest stars to Brisbane for AEW: Grand Slam Australia on February 15, 2025 at Suncorp Stadium. Our historic Australia debut will mark another milestone for AEW in 2025 and we look forward to fans from all over Australia converging on Brisbane for an incredible night.”
The announcement has been made after AEW staged its second event at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. The event attracted over 50,000 fans, which was down on last year’s sell-out crowd of 81,035.
AEW agreed to change the set-up of Wembley for this year’s event so the stadium could accommodate more Taylor Swift concerts. Khan has previously said that the promotion would return to London in 2026, and Wembley confirmed this in a social media post on Sunday.
Earlier this month, AEW announced its first stadium event in the US at Globe Life Field, home of Major League Baseball’s Texas Rangers.
AEW: All In Texas will take place on July 12, 2025. The event will air live around the world on pay-per-view and will mark the first time an AEW PPV event has been held in Texas. It will also be the first-ever professional wrestling event held at Globe Life Field.
