Italian Serie A club Inter Milan has launched a new pitchside club experience, after fellow San Siro tenant and arch-rival, AC Milan, debuted a similar offering earlier in the year.

The exclusive Pitchside Club area will consist of just 14 seats and will allow fans to sample the match action up close.

Fans will be given the chance to meet Inter legends and sample gourmet finger food. The space will feature products from liqueur company Campari and include seating from outdoor furniture manufacturer Unopiù.

Inter is also launching the Sports Pub San Siro-Bordocampo experience, which the club said will offer a more traditional and “Anglo-Saxon” way of watching the match.

A dedicated sports pub space will be set up at the San Siro for fans. Depending on availability, the space will open when Inter is playing away from home, with fans able to follow the match on TVs.

Inter’s Pitchside Club will be similar to the Club 1899 Front Row Experience launched by AC Milan last season.

AC Milan’s experience is designed to resemble the exclusive courtside seating found at NBA basketball arenas, and features padded seats positioned between the home and away teams’ benches.

Other features of the Club 1899 Front Row Experience include a private concierge, a personalised welcome and exclusive hospitality.

Last month, the Municipality of Milan announced that the two clubs were “evaluating the technical and financial aspects” of acquiring the San Siro, which is officially known as the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. Inter and Milan have been exploring separate new stadium projects in Rozzano and San Donato Milanese, respectively.
