Concacaf, football’s governing body in North America, Central America and the Caribbean, has announced the host venues for next year’s Gold Cup, with 14 stadiums across the US and Canada set to stage games.
Three venues will be hosting Gold Cup matches for the first time: BC Place (Vancouver, pictured), PayPal Park (San Jose), and US Bank Stadium (Minneapolis).
Other venues that have been selected include AT&T Stadium (Arlington), Q2 Stadium (Austin), Dignity Health Sports Park (Carson), NRG Stadium and Shell Energy Stadium (both Houston), SoFi Stadium (Inglewood), Allegiant Stadium (Las Vegas), State Farm Stadium (Phoenix), Snapdragon Stadium (San Diego), Levi’s Stadium (Santa Clara), and CityPark (St. Louis).
No venues on the east coast will host matches amid reports that FIFA’s new Club World Cup will take place primarily at east-coast venues next summer. Concacaf will confirm specific match venue allocations for the Gold Cup at a later date.
The 16-team tournament will take place from June 14 to July 6, a year before the US and Canada co-host the FIFA World Cup alongside Mexico. Five venues will host matches at both the Gold Cup and the World Cup: AT&T Stadium, NRG Stadium, SoFi Stadium, Levi’s Stadium and BC Place.
Next year will mark the eighth time that NRG Stadium has hosted Gold Cup matches, a record for the tournament. It will also be the third time Canada has staged matches, after BMO Field in Toronto hosted in 2015 and 2023.
Concacaf president and FIFA vice-president Victor Montagliani said: “The Concacaf Gold Cup is our flagship event for men’s national teams and the 2025 edition is certain to be a highly competitive tournament that delivers on and off the pitch for the competing teams and their fans.
“As the last official centralised tournament in our region before the FIFA World Cup 2026, this Gold Cup will provide all participating federations with a great challenge and will be critical to their preparations for World Cup qualification and for participation in the FIFA World Cup itself. The tournament will create a tremendous opportunity for fans across the confederation to engage with the sport at such a pivotal time for its development.”
Mexico is the defending Gold Cup champion after defeating Panama 1-0 in last year’s final, which took place at SoFi Stadium. Mexico has won the competition a record nine times.
