KPC Development Company has announced plans to build a 300-key hotel at Hollywood Park, near SoFi Stadium.
Kali Hotel and Rooftop, Autograph Collection, will join the wider Autograph Collection Hotels, which forms part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of over 30 brands.
The 13-storey hotel will provide 300 guest rooms including 34 suites, along with a pool and yoga deck, spa, fitness centre, three food and beverage concepts, and nearly 20,000 square feet of meetings and event space. A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for October 22.
According to the Los Angeles Times newspaper, the hotel, which is set to feature a rooftop bar and restaurant, will cost $300m (£230m/€275m) to build.
The hotel will be adjacent to SoFi Stadium, home of the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams and Chargers. It will also be close to Hollywood Park’s YouTube Theater arena, and within walking distance of the new Intuit Dome arena and the Kia Forum, which are not part of the Hollywood Park complex.
The Autograph Collection Hotels brand features over 320 independent hotels. The guest experience at the new Kali Hotel will celebrate Los Angeles’ culture, art, design and entertainment.
It will be the only hotel permitted within the Hollywood Park Specific Plan zone. KPC Development Company has partnered with Clayco as the builder and design firms Lamar Johnson Collaborative and Sixteenfifty Creative Intelligence.
Kali P. Chaudhuri, chairman and founder of KPC Development Company and the KPC Group, said: “Kali Hotel represents a pivotal step in KPC’s strategic growth of realising world-class development projects with partners who share our eye for ingenuity and commitment to excellence. We are honoured to bring this one-of-a-kind hospitality experience to Hollywood Park that will contribute positively to the Inglewood community.”
Otto Maly, president of Kroenke Holdings, which owns Hollywood Park and SoFi Stadium, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Kali Hotel to Hollywood Park. As we continue to develop this unparalleled destination where people can live, work, play and now stay, Kali Hotel will enhance the experiences here for our residents, visitors and guests from across the globe. We are grateful to Dr. Chaudhuri for his vision as well as his commitment to bringing this special property to Hollywood Park.”
