England’s Rugby Football Union (RFU) has announced the appointment of Anthony Mundy as executive director of venue.

Mundy (pictured) will join the RFU in December from Premier League football club Leicester City, where he spent five years as operations director. He previously worked as operations director at Lancashire County Cricket Club and as facilities director at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

At the RFU, Mundy will lead the newly-branded Allianz Stadium’s commercial activity, including major events and year-round conferences, as well as its on-site hotel, fitness and leisure centre and World Rugby Museum.

Mundy will replace the RFU’s former executive director of venue, Mark Lynch, who was recently named stadium director at Wembley.

French Ligue 1 football club Paris Saint-Germain has named Victoriano Melero as its new chief executive.

He will focus on several projects including infrastructure development, revenue diversification, strategic partnerships and the club’s global brand. Melero joined PSG in 2017 as general secretary and has formed part of the club’s management team.

Since January 2023, he has been acting general manager of PSG and played a key role in Arctos Partners’ investment in the club.

Melero’s appointment comes with PSG weighing up the possibility of a move away from its Parc des Princes stadium.

Live entertainment and ticketing company TEG has appointed Shane Harmon as managing director of experiences.

Harmon most recently worked as chief executive of Sky Stadium in Wellington, New Zealand. He has also worked with the Sydney Swans, Rugby Australia and the local organising committees for the 2023 and 2011 Rugby World Cups.

Operating from TEG’s Melbourne office, Harmon will report to TEG Group chief executive Geoff Jones and will lead the strategic direction and development for TEG’s experience arm. Harmon will take over the experiences portfolio from Rachael Carroll, who will remain in the TEG family as managing director of TEG Sport.

Lancashire Cricket has announced plans to divide the responsibilities of its club secretary into two distinct areas: member experience and club governance.

Gaz Morris will focus more extensively on member experience, with his title to change from head of guest experience to head of guest experience and membership secretary. Lancashire’s chief financial officer, Angela Lowes, will assume the newly created role of company secretary, overseeing governance matters, annual accounts and correspondence with the Financial Conduct Authority.

Lancashire also thanked the departing Lee Morgan, the club’s former finance director and club secretary, for his contributions over the past two decades.
