The Seattle Seahawks NFL team has signed a multi-year extension to its partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

AWS will continue to serve as the team’s official cloud provider, as well as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and generative AI provider. The Seahawks will continue to use AWS cloud technologies to inform decisions across the team’s football and business operations.

The Seahawks will use a generative AI-powered system based on Amazon Bedrock to automate content distribution, transcribing, summarising and distributing press conferences to fans.

The team’s Lumen Field stadium features 15 Amazon Just Walk Out technology locations, the most of any venue in the world.

Management and business consulting firm Deloitte has signed a multi-year partnership with Tennis Australia and the United Cup.

Deloitte will serve as the official business and technology transformation consulting partner of the two properties, supporting a variety of digital projects to enhance customer and event experiences.

The United Cup, a mixed team event, will feature Deloitte prominently across on-court signage in Perth and Sydney.

The NBA’s Houston Rockets have debuted one of the largest and most advanced centre-hung scoreboards in the league, including ‘Rocket booster’ effects.

Lenovo has agreed a deal to become a top-tier sponsor of FIFA, with the Chinese technology company set to help power improved fan experiences in stadiums.

The agreement was announced at Lenovo’s annual Tech World innovation event in Seattle, with the company to serve as FIFA’s official technology partner through a contract that covers the 2026 World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States, and the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil.

Sports marketing agency Two Circles has announced an agreement to acquire engagement marketing solutions firm KORE.

Two Circles said the acquisition will enhance the company’s proprietary technologies, with the acquisition to bring in new clients such as NASCAR, Madison Square Garden Company, Chicago Bears, Boston Celtics, LAFC and more.

Two Circles was acquired by Charterhouse Capital Partners at the start of 2024 and recently added strategic investment from Otro Capital and Bolt Ventures.

Chinese technology company Huawei has launched its Intelligent Stadium Solution, which is designed to facilitate digital and intelligent transformation of stadium campuses.

Huawei is set to collaborate with OODA World, a France-based software vendor, to build intelligent stadium campuses. Huawei has pledged to work with partners to help customers deliver security assurance, operations management solutions, and an enhanced fan experience.
