Lytle Associates Architects has become the official stadium design consultants of the Isthmian League – a regional football competition covering Greater London, East and South East England.

The architects will offer advice to the league’s clubs as to how they can improve and update their facilities and grounds in line with current Football Association Ground Grading Criteria.

Lytle will support the clubs by assisting with feasibility studies, planning applications and funding bids with the aim of unlocking land potential.

The league comprises a Premier Division, North Division, South Central Division and South East Division, with 22 mostly semi-professional clubs in each division. The divisions effectively represent the seventh and eighth tiers of football in England.

“We are especially proud as this is the first time that the league has entered into a partnership with a lead architect,” Isthmian League chair Nick Robinson said.

“This is a natural progression with stadium accreditation taking on such vital importance for all of our 88 clubs. We have seen the work which the Lytle Associates Architects prepared for Farnham Town Football Club and wanted to make their services available to all our clubs.’

Lytle director Richard Wilkinson added: “We can do so much for the clubs in the Isthmian League who want to progress and develop their grounds. As well as the design of the facilities we can also assist with obtaining planning permission, and support the clubs in their funding applications.”
