Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Villa Park are among the stadiums that will play host to a historic weekend for women’s football as all games are staged at every home side’s respective main stadium.

Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge and Newcastle United’s St James’ Park will also be among the 11 venues hosting Barclays Women’s Super League and Barclays Women’s Championship fixtures over the weekend of November 16 and 17.

The other Premier League grounds being used are Brighton’s American Express Stadium, Leicester City’s King Power Stadium and Everton’s Goodison Park. The home stadiums of Sheffield United, Charlton Athletic and Blackburn Rovers will also host games. Durham versus London City Lionesses will be played at the former’s Maiden Castle Sports Park.

“For the first time in the leagues’ existence, each game will be taking place at every home side’s respective main stadia – the only time this has been the case for all eleven fixtures of a match weekend across the two divisions,” said a spokesperson for the Women’s Professional Game.

On Saturday, November 16, the Women’s Professional Game will be hosting Ground-Hop Day, encouraging fans to attend the North London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (1.45pm KO), before travelling to Stamford Bridge for Chelsea against Manchester City at 5.30pm). Fifty free tickets will be up for grabs for both fixtures as part of a one-of-a-kind exclusive fan event.

Villa playing all games at Villa Park

Ahead of the current season, Aston Villa announced that its women’s team will play all 11 of their home WSL matches at Villa Park. Villa Women’s home cup matches will be played at Bescot Stadium, which previously served as the team’s primary home venue.

Arsenal have committed to playing eight of its 11 home WSL games at Emirates Stadium during 2024-25. Arsenal Women played six WSL matches at the Emirates last season, attracting an average crowd of 52,029. Three of these matches sold out, and the club set a new WSL attendance record in February as 60,160 fans watched its 3-1 win against Manchester United.
