Liverpool FC has promoted Kate Theobald to the position of commercial director.

Theobald will lead Liverpool’s global partnerships team, overseeing the club’s partnership and sales strategy. In addition to her commercial responsibilities, she will focus on expanding alliances with industry leaders while working with partners to promote the club’s commitment to sustainability.

Theobald joined Liverpool in 2019 to oversee the Americas region in collaboration with Fenway Sports Management (FSM) and established the club’s New York office. Most recently she served as vice-president and head of global partnership sales.

She will replace Ben Latty, who was promoted to chief commercial officer at the end of last season.

“I’m honoured to step into this new role at LFC, working alongside our global partnerships sales, partnerships central and delivery teams to further our vision of creating meaningful, values-driven partnerships around the world,” Theobald said.

AEG Global Partnerships has appointed Brenda Cruz as senior director of global partnerships out of home (OOH) at AEG.

In this role, Cruz will exclusively oversee the OOH sales and advertising strategy for L.A. LIVE as well as all other AEG properties with OOH opportunities.

Cruz will be responsible for creating high-impact marketing campaigns tailored to L.A. LIVE’s dynamic environment, overseeing all OOH sales for the venue’s key inventory, including its LED networks at the iconic Peacock Theater and the JW Marriott Hotel.

“Brenda’s extensive background and innovative approach to OOH make her an ideal fit for this pivotal role and we’re thrilled to have her join our team and help drive our strategy as we look toward the future,” said Nick Baker, chief operating officer of AEG Global Partnerships.
