Roscommon GAA is to see its home ground rebranded as King & Moffatt Dr. Hyde Park through its first naming rights deal.

Named after a former President of Ireland, Dr. Hyde Park becomes the latest Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) to welcome a naming rights partner. Roscommon’s 19,000-capacity home, which opened in 1971, will bear its new name for the next five years.

Over the past few years, Dr. Hyde Park has undergone significant development, including major upgrades to its seating, accessibility, and infrastructure. Roscommon said the deal with King & Moffatt, a mechanical and electrical engineering contractor, will help ensure that the stadium remains capable of hosting major matches and events that attract visitors from across Ireland.

Brian Carroll, chairperson of Roscommon GAA, said: “This is a very important and exciting development for Roscommon GAA. Partnering with King & Moffatt, a company with deep roots in our community, is a fantastic opportunity for the future of our county teams and the development of our facilities.

“This deal is not just a sponsorship – it’s a shared commitment to Roscommon GAA’s vision for growth and success.”

Earlier this year, the Cork County Board of the GAA sealed a 10-year naming rights deal for Páirc Uí Chaoimh with Irish supermarket chain SuperValu, following a compromise agreement over the new moniker of the stadium.

The initial removal of the Caoimh name had provoked strong opposition, but Cork GAA later said the stadium will be renamed SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
