People on the move: The Jockey Club, KC Current and more

The Jockey Club has named Charlie Boss as its interim group chief executive.

Boss (pictured) was chief commercial officer of the organisation between March 2021 and April 2023 before taking up the same role at Premier League club Southampton. He will rejoin The Jockey Club on December 9 before taking over from Nevin Truesdale on an interim basis from December 19.

It was announced in June that Truesdale would be leaving The Jockey Club at the end of 2024 after 11 years.

National Women’s Soccer League franchise Kansas City Current has appointed Caitlin Carducci as its new general manager.

Carducci assumes the position after acting as interim general manager since May. She was originally hired as director of soccer operations and has previously spent time at US Soccer and the NWSL.

Francesco Gianello, facilities management director at Serie A club Juventus, has been appointed as president of the European Stadium and Safety Management Association (ESSMA).

Gianello, who has been a member of the ESSMA advisory committee since 2018, will succeed Arsenal’s John Beattie as president. Gianello first joined Juventus in December 1998 as secretary of the club’s youth sector and was named head of stadium in October 2010 before being promoted to head of stadium and facilities in October 2018.

He was named head of facilities management in 2020. Earlier this year, Gianello received an Outstanding Achievement Award at TheStadiumBusiness Awards 2024.

Premier League club Leicester City has named Alan Dawson as its new director of stadium operations.

Dawson formerly served as director of football operations at Manchester United.

Ashleigh Elliott has joined Scottish Premiership club Rangers as head of business development at New Edmiston House, a new event facility at Ibrox Stadium.

The role will focus on commercial development within New Edmiston House.
