English League One club Birmingham City has introduced a new self-serve bar at St Andrew’s in collaboration with Levy UK and Boxbar, a provider of automated bar solutions.
The new Globe & Ball bar is now in operation at the stadium and features six terminals and 12 taps serving Cruzcampo, Bira Moretti, Beavertown Neck Oil and Strongbow Dark Fruits. Each terminal is capable of pouring two pints in under 30 seconds.
The first terminals were introduced earlier in the season and more have been rolled out to satisfy demand. The upgrade is a part of a larger stadium renovation programme aimed at enhancing the overall fan experience at St Andrew’s.
Shift4, a provider of integrated payments and commerce technology, has partnered with BSE Global to power ticketing, food and beverage and retail transactions at Barclays Center.
Barclays Center is home to the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets and WNBA’s New York Liberty. Shift4’s technologies will enable the arena to simplify its payments through a single integrated solution.

Fans watching the Formula 1 race on television will receive access to first-person trackside and sweeping aerial views via 5G-connected cameras and a 5G-connected drone. T-Mobile will also power all point-of-sale and ticketing transactions, while the T-Mobile Zone at Sphere will return with performances from Ludacris, Alesso and OneRepublic.
Dutch Eredivisie club Feyenoord has detailed plans to make De Kuip more “modern and hospitable” by testing a new personal access system at the stadium.
Feyenoord hopes to make the stadium fully digital by the 2025-26 season. It is hoped the system will give fans a fairer chance of obtaining tickets, as the use of fake accounts or black-market trading will be made more difficult.
Digital consultant and software provider Globant has partnered with Paris Basketball to support the team’s digital transformation.
As an official supporter of the club, Globant will develop solutions to boost fan engagement at the Adidas Arena and across digital platforms.
Elsewhere in basketball, Panathinaikos BC AKTOR has partnered with Uber to facilitate the travel of fans to games.
Fans will be able to travel to and from the OAKA Stadium using Uber. It is hoped the partnership will ease traffic congestion generated following big games and other events taking place at the arena.
Global digital sports platform Fanatics has agreed a partnership with Melbourne Storm, marking the company’s first deal with a National Rugby League (NRL) team.
Fanatics will relaunch and exclusively operate the official Storm Store online, as well as gameday retail at AAMI Park. Fans will be able to access a full assortment of officially licensed merchandise online and at AAMI Park.
