Capital One Arena’s VIP areas are set to receive an upgrade in the form of two new exclusive club spaces at the home of the Washington Capitals and Washington Wizards.

The United Globe Club and United Globe Lounge, backed by partner United Airlines, will be multi-level, all-inclusive premium seating and hospitality destinations at the arena in Washington D.C.

The areas are set to open in the third quarter of 2025 and are designed to offer unparalleled access to Capitals NHL and Wizards NBA games, as well as concerts and special events at the 20,400-capacity venue.

“We are thrilled to offer our VIP guests at Capital One Arena an experience unlike anything they’ve had before, combining top-tier comfort, cutting-edge design, and the best hospitality in the sports and entertainment industry,” said Jim Van Stone, president of business operations and chief commercial officer at MSE.

“The United Globe Club and Lounge will provide our fans with an exclusive, dynamic environment where they can enjoy our world-class events with luxurious amenities, all just steps away from the court, rink, or stage.”

United Globe Club and Lounge ticket holders will have access to an exclusive point of entry, a VIP welcome lobby, curated food and beverage, experiential gathering, and “top-of-the-line” hospitality.

The United Globe Club will have space for more than 800 guests and will be 30 per cent larger than any existing hospitality space at the arena with 16 square feet of space per guest at full capacity.

The Lounge will be exclusive to Wizards Courtside Row AAA seat holders and Capitals Row A members and will only be available to 150 guests per event.

“It is a monumental time to be a D.C. sports fan and United is thrilled to continue our journey to transform and shape the next chapter of the District’s sports and entertainment scene with the United Globe Club and Lounge,” said Jennifer Entenman, United Airlines’ managing director of global sponsorships and inclusive partnerships.

“As Monumental Sports & Entertainment’s official global airline partner, together we set out to reimagine an enhanced in-arena experience, and we’re thrilled to create not one but two unique and unparalleled premium destinations for fans, with more excitement to come.”

The new hospitality areas come as part of a revamp of the Capital One Arena that is aimed to be fully completed prior to the 2027-28 basketball and ice hockey season.
