Scottish Premiership club Rangers has appointed Patrick Stewart as its new chief executive.
Stewart most recently served as interim chief executive of English Premier League club Manchester United. He formerly worked at TEAM Marketing, the agency responsible for UEFA club competitions.
Stewart joined United in 2006 as general counsel and company secretary, overseeing all legal and regulatory matters, with his role evolving to cover commercial and operational matters. He assumed the role of chief executive in 2023.
Rangers announced the departure of former chief executive James Bisgrove back in May.
Ticketing services and live entertainment company CTS Eventim has appointed Karel Dörner to its management board as chief technology officer.
Dörner (pictured left) will join on January 1, 2025 and will oversee all technological business for the company. Managing director Christoph Bodi, who has been leading internal IT unit CTS Eventim Solutions for 14 years, will remain in position and report to Dörner, as will chief product officer James Brooke.
Dörner led McKinsey Digital Labs in Western Europe for many years and was one of the co-founders of eBay Europe.
Oak View Group and Live Nation Canada have appointed Nick DeLuco as senior vice-president and general manager of Hamilton Arena.
DeLuco (pictured right) joins Hamilton Arena from Oilers Entertainment Group, where he served as vice-president of live entertainment and events. OVG and Live Nation Canada are partnering to transform the 18,000-seat Hamilton Arena, and DeLuco will oversee operations and manage the venue’s strategic plan.
Prior to his role at Oilers Entertainment Group, DeLuco was general manager for the Avenir Centre in New Brunswick.
Sean Saadeh has started a new role as chief programming officer and head of entertainment at Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment.
Saadeh has been at HBSE since April 2015 and previously served as executive vice-president of entertainment for the company. Prior to that, he worked at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center arena as senior vice-president of programming.
