All Elite Wrestling’s first event in Australia will now take place at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre instead of Suncorp Stadium amid reports of poor ticket sales.

AEW announced in August that Suncorp Stadium, which has a seated capacity of 52,500, would host AEW Grand Slam: Australia on February 15. Reports emerged in September that ticket sales had been slow for the event, and it will now take place at the much smaller Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

The Brisbane Entertainment Centre has a capacity of around 13,000. The arena will host the event on the original planned date of February 15, and all ticket holders for the original location will receive new tickets via Ticketek within the next two weeks.

AEW: Grand Slam Australia would have marked the first ever professional wrestling event at Suncorp Stadium. The Brisbane Entertainment Centre is used for basketball and netball, as well as music concerts.

AEW announced plans for its Australia event after staging its second event at London’s Wembley Stadium. The event attracted over 50,000 fans, which was down on last year’s sell-out crowd of 81,035.

Earlier in August, AEW announced plans for its first stadium event in the US, the promotion’s home country. Globe Life Field, the home of Major League Baseball’s Texas Rangers, will host AEW: All In Texas on July 12, 2025.

It will mark the first professional wrestling event at Globe Life Field. The event will air live around the world on pay-per-view.
